Demo: daily free competition

Web appLast verified 4 Nov 2026

The Demo competition is the free contest that restarts every day at 00:00 UTC: you trade a $1,000 virtual balance and the best results of the day win $PULT.

How it works

You join each day separately, any time before the day ends. Joining costs $0 and needs an account (Create an account). In Competition mode every buy, sell, open and close uses the competition balance; switching back to Main returns you to your real account. Yesterday's balance, positions and recharges do not carry over: a new day starts from $1,000 with all recharges unused.

The competition balance is virtual: it cannot be withdrawn and a deposit does not add to it. A deposit only matters for extra refills and the bonus case.

What you can trade

  • Synthetic competition tokens. They live only inside the competition. You can launch your own from $1, paid from the competition balance, while launch slots are free.
  • 10000x Futures. Real crypto prices, opened from the competition balance. Minimum and maximum stake are the same as on the Main balance, but the open-stake limits count only competition positions.

Your Main balance, Bonus Balance and real positions are separate. A competition trade never moves real money.

Your result: P&L

The leaderboard ranks everyone by total P&L, highest first:

P&L=B−B0\text{P\&L} = B - B_0

where BB is your competition balance and B0B_0 = $1,000 is the starting balance. The balance includes closed trades and any recharge. Money still in open positions is not in BB until you close them.

Example. You start with $1,000, buy a token for $400 and sell it for $640. Synthetic trades in Demo pay no fee today, so B=1000−400+640=1240B = 1000 - 400 + 640 = 1240 and P&L =1240−1000=+240= 1240 - 1000 = +240.

Two things move BB without a trade:

  • A recharge sets BB back to B0B_0, so it sets P&L back to 0. A recharge never adds profit; it only removes a loss.
  • A bonus case spends $100 of competition balance per $1 of bonus, so it lowers P&L by the same amount. See Converting winnings to bonus.

The leaderboard and your stats refresh about every 5 minutes.

Recharges (refills)

A recharge tops your competition balance back up to $1,000. You can recharge only when all of these are true:

  • The day is still running.
  • Your free balance is $10 or less. Free balance is the balance minus anything reserved by an open bonus case.
  • You have no open competition positions, Synthetic or Futures.
  • No bonus case is waiting for a deposit.
  • You have a recharge left (free or extra) and you have had fewer than 5 balance grants today.
recharge amount=B0−Bfree\text{recharge amount} = B_0 - B_{free}

Example. Your balance is $6.50 and nothing is open. A recharge adds 1000 - 6.50 = $993.50 and your balance is $1,000 again. P&L goes from −993.50-993.50 to 0.

Example. Your balance is $12 with no open positions. You cannot recharge, because $12 is above the $10 threshold. Trade it below the threshold or wait for the next day.

Extra refills

After the 2 free recharges are used up, each further recharge needs a real deposit of at least $20 in one transfer (Deposits and withdrawals). When the deposit arrives, the refill unlocks. It is applied at once if the recharge conditions hold; otherwise it waits until they do.

  • The deposit stays yours. It lands on your Main balance; it is not spent.
  • One deposit unlocks one refill. A single deposit must cover the amount; two smaller deposits do not add up.
  • Up to 2 extra refills per day, and at most 5 balance grants per day in total (the start balance, the free recharges and the extra ones).
  • An extra refill that you unlocked but did not use expires when the day ends.

Example: a full day. Start $1,000 (grant 1). Lose it to $3, recharge free (grant 2). Lose it again, recharge free (grant 3). Lose it again: deposit $25 to your Main balance, extra refill (grant 4). Lose it again: deposit $20, extra refill (grant 5). No more recharges today. Your Main balance is $45 higher than before, minus any network fee of the deposit.

Fees

  • Synthetic in Demo: no trading fee, no profit fee and no close fee while zero-fee Demo is on. It is on as of 4 Nov 2026. With it off, competition trades pay the competition fees: 1% trade fee and 5% profit fee.
  • Futures in Demo: the 10000x Futures holding, profit and loss fees of the mode you pick, from the competition balance. See 10000x Futures in competitions.

Competition trades earn no referral rewards for anyone.

End of the day

At 23:59:59.999 UTC the day ends and a new day starts at once. For the day that ended:

  • Your open competition positions are closed at the current price, and Futures positions are settled.
  • A bonus case still waiting for a deposit is cancelled and its reservation released. Unused extra refills expire.
  • The final leaderboard is computed and prizes are assigned, usually within minutes.
  • Winners claim their prizes. See Prizes and leaderboard.

Edge cases

  • Joined late. You can join at 23:00 UTC and still have the full balance and all recharges, but only one hour to trade.
  • Balance at $0 with an open position. Close the position first, then recharge.
  • Deposit made but refill not applied. Your balance was above the threshold or a position was open. The refill waits as a credit until the end of the day.
  • Disqualification. Wash trading, abusive behavior, exploit attempts or breaking competition rules can disqualify an account. A disqualified account gets no prize.

FAQ

Does a recharge count against me on the leaderboard? No penalty, but it does not add profit either: it brings P&L back to 0.

Why is my Futures stake limit lower than usual? The stake limits are the Main balance limits, but your open competition positions count toward them separately. See 10000x Futures in competitions.
