Short answers to the questions users ask most, with a link to the page that has the full rules.

Getting started

What is Catapult? A trading app with two markets: 10000x Futures, where you go long or short on real crypto prices with up to 10,000x leverage, and Synthetic, where you trade short-lived tokens that exist only on Catapult. See What is Catapult.

Do I need to verify my identity (KYC)? No. Catapult has no identity check. You log in with an email code, Google or a crypto wallet. See Create an account.

Who can use Catapult? Adults who are at least 18 and of legal age where they live (section 2.1 of the Terms of Use). Section 2.2 excludes anyone located, incorporated or established in, or a citizen or resident of:

  • the United States;
  • a jurisdiction under embargo or sanctions from St. Vincent and the Grenadines, the United States, the United Nations, the European Union, the United Kingdom or another sanctions authority;
  • a jurisdiction where using Catapult would break the law.

People on a sanctions list such as the OFAC SDN list may not use Catapult either. Using a VPN, a proxy or any other way around these restrictions is prohibited, and Catapult may use geo-blocking to enforce them. See Terms and responsible trading.

Is there a mobile app? Catapult is a web app. You can install it on your home screen from the browser, see catapult.trade/pwa-tutorial.

Can I try it without money? Yes. The Demo competition gives you a $1,000 practice balance every day, and prizes are real. See Trading Competition.

Products

What are Synthetic tokens? Short-lived markets that live for a fixed time set by their speed mode, from Mayhem (the shortest) to Slow (the longest). Lifetimes are on Speed modes. Each token has its own price chart on Catapult. You trade the price, long or short, with or without leverage. See Synthetic Markets.

How do Futures work? Futures follow the live price of a real coin. You pick the coin, the direction (Long or Short) and the leverage, and the position settles against the live price. It ends when you close it, at the take-profit cap, at the liquidation price, or at its max lifetime. See 10000x Futures.

Which coins can I trade on Futures? BTC, DOGE, ETH, HYPE, SOL, XRP. See 10000x Futures.

What are the speed modes? Slow, Fast, Flash, Crack and Mayhem. Each sets how long a Synthetic token lives and its max leverage. See Speed modes.

Can I earn without trading? Yes. Create public tokens and earn creator fees from other people's trades on them. See Create a token and Creator earnings.

What is $PULT? Catapult's token. Competition prizes are paid in $PULT. See $PULT.

Money

How do I deposit? Send stablecoins or other supported tokens from a wallet or an exchange, or pay with cash through a card or a local payment method. See Deposits and withdrawals.

Which networks can I deposit on? The networks and tokens open right now are listed on Deposits and withdrawals.

My deposit has not arrived. What do I do? Check that you sent on the same network you picked. Check the transaction on a block explorer. If it is confirmed and still not credited, contact support in the in-app chat with the transaction hash.

How do I withdraw? To a crypto address on a supported network. The minimum is $1 plus the network fee. See Deposits and withdrawals.

How long does a withdrawal take? Usually a few minutes.

Why can I not withdraw my whole balance? Money in open positions is not withdrawable. It comes back to your Main balance when you close them. See Balances explained.

What fees does Catapult charge? It depends on the product: a trade fee, a profit fee, and on Futures a holding fee and a loss fee. Withdrawals pay a network fee. All of them are on Fees summary.

Bonuses and rewards

How do I unlock my bonus? Make a profit of 10x the bonus with bonus-funded Synthetic trades. Then the bonus, up to the amount you received, becomes real money. See Bonuses and coupons.

Why can I not trade with my bonus? Bonus pays only for Synthetic trades, only after your real money is used up, and not while you have open real-money positions, a pending withdrawal, unclaimed creator fees or a live token you created.

How do coupons work? A coupon adds real money to your Main balance. You redeem it within 7 days. See Bonuses and coupons.

How do referrals work? Share your invite link. You earn a share of the fees paid by everyone who joins through it, on two levels of your referral tree. See Referral Program.

What are points? A score you earn from trading and other actions, ranked on a leaderboard. See Points.

Trading Competition

Do I trade with real money in the competition? No. You trade a practice balance, but the prizes and bonuses you win are real.

How are winners decided? By Total P&L (competition balance minus the starting balance) when the day closes, following the prize table. A negative P&L wins no prize. See Prizes and leaderboard.

What if my competition balance runs out? You can recharge it once it is at or below $10 and nothing is open. The Demo gives you 2 free recharges a day. After those, each real deposit of at least $20 unlocks one extra refill, up to 2 a day. See Demo: recharges.

What can get me disqualified? Wash trading, abusive behaviour, exploit attempts, or breaking the competition rules.

Account and security

How does two-factor authentication work? You link an authenticator app, and every login then asks for its 6-digit code on top of your normal login. You need an email on your account first. See Security.

I see a device I do not know in my sessions. End all other sessions at once in your security settings, then turn on 2FA. See Security.

Can an API key withdraw my money? No. API keys cannot deposit or withdraw. See Security.

Has Catapult been audited? Yes, by Hashlock and Halborn. The reports are public, see Links and community. How you check a Synthetic chart yourself is on Provably fair charts.

How do I contact support? Through the in-app support chat.
