Terms and responsible trading
Catapult's legal terms are the Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy published in the app; the links and the sections users ask about most are below.
These docs explain how the product works. They are not the legal terms and do not change them. If the docs and the terms differ, the terms apply.
Legal documents
| Document | Link | What it covers |
|---|---|---|
| Terms of Use | catapult.trade/terms-of-use | Who may use Catapult, the risk warning, your obligations, the legal entity |
| Privacy Policy | catapult.trade/privacy-policy | What data Catapult collects, why, and your rights |
Legal questions: legal@catapult.trade.
Before you deposit, read the risk warning at the top of the Terms of Use, section 2.1 (minimum age) and section 2.2 (excluded jurisdictions). The legal entity is named under the title.
Section 2.2 excludes the United States, jurisdictions under embargo or sanctions, and any jurisdiction where using Catapult would break the law. Using a VPN or a proxy to get around this is prohibited. The full list is in the FAQ, under "Who can use Catapult?".
Responsible trading
Leveraged and short-lived trading can take your whole stake in seconds. These habits limit the damage:
- Trade money you can afford to lose. Treat every deposit as money that can go to zero.
- Start small. The minimum Futures stake is $0.10. Learn the payout math before you size up.
- Practice for free. The Demo competition gives you $1,000 of practice money every day. See Trading Competition.
- Know the fees. Every fee is on Fees summary.
- Know how a position ends. Liquidation, take-profit caps and max lifetimes close positions on their own. See How a position ends.
- Take breaks. If you are chasing losses, stop for the day.
- Keep your account safe. Turn on two-factor authentication.
If trading stops being fun or you spend more than you planned, stop and talk to someone you trust or to a local gambling or debt help service.
