Create a token

Creating a token starts a new Synthetic market with your ticker and image, in the speed mode you choose, that anyone can trade until its lifetime ends.

You need to be logged in. Creation is paid from your real balance; Bonus Balance cannot pay for it.

How it works​

You choose a ticker (up to 10 characters), an image (JPG or PNG, up to 5 MB) and a speed mode, then pay the creation price. The token goes live at once and anyone can trade it.

Two optional settings:

  • Instant Buy opens a position of the amount you choose at the starting price the moment the token launches. It is paid from your Main balance on top of the creation price.
  • Starting Price sets the token's first price: Low, Medium, High or Humongous.

Rules​

  • Lifetime. The token lives for its mode's lifetime (see Speed modes), then expires. Open positions are closed at the last price.
  • Public slots. At most 300 public tokens can be live at the same time across the platform.
  • Creator earnings. A public token earns you half of the trade fee on every trade on it, claimable after it expires. See Creator earnings.
  • Boosters. While your token is live, you can buy boosters for it.
  • No edits. Ticker, image and mode cannot be changed after launch.
  • Competition tokens are created from the competition section and paid from the competition balance. See Competition.

Worked example​

You create a Fast public token for $10 with an Instant Buy of $20.

  • Total paid at launch: $10+$20=$30\$10 + \$20 = \$30.
  • The $20 Instant Buy opens a position on your token at the starting price.
  • Your token earns 0.5% of all trading volume. To earn back the $10 creation price, the token needs $10/0.005=$2,000\$10 / 0.005 = \$2{,}000 of volume during its hour of life.

Edge cases​

  • Not enough balance. Creation is refused. Deposit or lower the Instant Buy.
  • All public slots taken. Wait for a token to expire and free a slot.

FAQ​

Who can trade my token? Every logged-in user, for as long as the token is live.

Can I delete a token? No. It runs until its lifetime ends.
